We demolished the existing carpark to make way for a new landscaped park, comprising 4000m2 of turf that was specifically grown for the project and imported from the UK by refrigerated truck, numerous trees and plants, an ornamental bridge over the lake with a fountain, overlooked by a bandstand with the parks plant room below, a stone obelisk water feature, a glass lift with timber stairway access, interweaving timber and rubber crumb walkways, rainwater storage tanks to provide the irrigation system with sufficient water and a maintenance building to provide the conservation & preservation the park will dictate.

The project value was £5.6m, with a substantial amount supported by European funding, it was originally programmed for 12 months, however, due to additionally requested works, we were granted an extension of time and it was completed approx. 3 months later on the newly agreed completion date.
