The main element of works and most significant at No.6 Convent Place is the new extension to the rear of the existing building, which consists of new offices, meeting facilities as well as an improved solution to enhance car parking facilities for the new building. The new extension has been designed so that access is available to the existing building on each of the three levels, which has also enhanced office floor space and overall circulation throughout. The exterior of the new extension has been designed so that it matches existing building designs from around the old town area. This included details such as quoin blocks, cornices and other details which can be found on the facade of the existing building. The existing building has received major refurbishment works which has seen the introduction of a new press room, new render and paint facade system (matching that of the new extension), new sash windows and the overall refurbishment of the existing offices and main internal staircase. Town Range has also received major beautification works which includes a wider pavement for St Mary’s School, a school drop off/collection zone and the introduction of trees and plants in the area. Works commenced at No.6 Convent place on January 2014 and was completed in November 2015.
